THE MINISTRY OF DAN & CAROLYN VOGLER
Identifying our people groups
For more than 2 decades Dan and Carolyn Vogler have identified with people on the land. Those unique and hardy souls who have learned the art of survival in what are often tough and enduring circumstances.
In Australia alone there is a people group of around 7 million who class themselves as rural and country at heart.
They live anywhere and everywhere from the far outback to Australia’s largest coastal cities.
Many of these precious people are fiercely independent almost by necessity and have a no fuss approach to life.
They are a people who do not need nor want charity or handouts but when it comes to a helping hand in time of need for others they are one of the first to give a generous response. But life has been changing for every family and their community with the dawn of the global village and all of its intricate and sometimes challenging dynamics.
But there is one thing that rural and country people everywhere often struggle to understand their need for.

Identifying the greatest need
The need for a clear, personal and precise revelation of the gospel of Jesus Christ…
When you mention the gospel to many people they immediately think of those who have sought to represent in some way the claims of the gospel and this person called Jesus. They will often automatically reflect on the local churches and the varied impact these churches have had on their families and communities. Much of it good, some of it well meaning and some not so good.
However, “We need to draw the individuals attention to the reason that Christ came to die on a cross as the sinless Son of God and was raised to life because death could not hold Him in the grave. He did this for each person who will receive and believe that God the Father was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself. We need to urge people everywhere to listen to the claims of Jesus and to give a personal and positive response to His eternal redemptive plan for them and their families. People owe their creator everything and certainly the honour of their full attention on the most important subject in the world. The subject of forgiveness of sin and reinstatement as a child of God… no longer lost but found… no longer at a loss to understand the meaning of life, but now able to entrust their lives to the only one who is worthy of that complete trust.
Our Indigenous people
It is not possible to talk about a people group demographically or geographically without including the indigenous folk of the regions in question.
Dan and Carolyn have spent much of their time in support of many of the half a million aboriginal Australian and Island peoples. Dan’s music is always a special treat to aboriginal and Island people wherever he travels from the desert to the sea. “Indigenous people have a unique and necessary part to play in God’s Kingdom and plan for the nations,” says Dan.
“Their ability to sense the Holy Spirit is a credit to them and we look forward to many more years working with them.”

Identifying our Purpose and Calling
…’be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble’… 2 Peter 1:10
Our purpose is to ‘know Christ and to make Him known’ and in all that we do to bring honour and respect to His name.
Identifying the Tools of our Calling
The tools of our calling are music and evangelism – both to do and to teach…
Music is one of the greatest communicators of the gospel and goes hand in hand with the preaching of the word.
Over the years we have learned that all evangelism is influence and influencing people to believe in the person and gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. The size of the gift on a person’s life will determine their level of influence, whether it is individual, regional, national or global. Everyone has a part to play and every believer has a testimony to share that will influence someone, somewhere, at some time.
Identifying God’s Plan for the Ministry
We will continue to record the unique and influential music that Dan has been entrusted with and to make ourselves available for general evangelism and evangelistic impartation and equipping to churches in Australia, the Islands and abroad.
One of the greatest needs in the body of Christ in this hour is for the restoration and release of the evangelical work of the church and to establish meaningful relationships in our communities that create real opportunities to influence people at every level of society. This is not necessarily as easy as it sounds and at times proves even more difficult to measure but it is the task the Lord Jesus has assigned us and like everything that the Lord has commissioned He also grants provision.
This is our generation; our time to run the race that is set before us and there are increasing opportunities to reach out to those who don’t know Christ and who may not be as closed to Him as we may think. Be bold, step out into your community and meet the needs you see before you and genuine opportunities to share about God’s love through Christ will continue to arise and progress. We have found this consistently in our home church.
Above all, remember that our message is not complicated; man has failed God but God has provided a Saviour in Jesus Christ so that we can be reinstated back to our rightful relationship with our heavenly Father… as powerful sons and daughters of the Living God… and the best part of all is that it is freely available to us… all we need to do is to believe, because, …’whoever calls on the name of the LORD, shall be saved’… Romans 10:13
Dan and Carolyn’s Home Church
Dan and Carolyn remain associate pastors of a great evangelistic church in Mareeba Queensland led by healing evangelist, pastors and friends Jeff and Victoria Xhafer (Jaffa). Jeff and Vicki have been friends and ministry partners for 6 years and for many years before as well.
‘Living Waters Evangelistic Centre’ was established in 1991 and was the vision and 1st church plant of Pastor Adem and Fitret Xhafer. Adem and Fitret renamed the Centre in Mareeba ‘Living Waters Christian Churches’ and it is the first of a number of such church plants in North Queensland including a thriving church in Cairns; ‘Cairns City Living Waters’ and ‘Yarrabah Living Waters’ church based on one of Australia’s largest aboriginal communities and ably pastored by Ps Paul and Natasha Munn long term members of the Yarrabah community.
Our Mareeba church under Pastor Jeff and Vicki has a great calling and ministry to revive and restore the ministry of evangelism to the churches both in Australia and in other nations with crusades in recent times in PNG, USA, Vanuatu and across Australia. “We have been called to experience the glory of God through local revival and to send forth well trained and well equipped teams into the harvest”, says Pastor Jeff.
We are blessed to be a part of this great end time ministry and live in expectation as the plan of God unfolds and the purposes of His Kingdom expand in the earth.
